BBRRRRR!!
We're having a hard time keeping the house warm tonight. The animals are all tucked in the barn. Hopefully this doesn't last too long. :(

I know - its BITTER out there!
Spent an hour feverishly stapling insulation wrap around door jams, cat doors etc. trying to weatherproof the 'heated' part of our barn where we hope to keep water flowing (and cats happy ;) ). The propane heater is working overtime :( !

The wind is mostly the problem here...yes it is below seasonal...but we're having 20+ mph winds here...we're on our 2nd day and it looks like we have another full day of it...*sigh*...ponies are not going to be happy being in that long...I'm sure an hour out with blankets won't kill them...and they get to burn off that energy

another cold day, ick. If it were not for that wind, it would not be as bad.
I feel warmer this winter than I did last. I dont know what Im doing differently, but Im happy about it.
The ponies are still in good spirits, could be because Im no longer rationing hay, just letting them eat thier fill.

well we have 3+ feet of snow here. Its been dumping since Friday. Today its clear, and actually not bad temperature wise. Usually the weather in the Valley here is windy and bitterly cold. I am driving back to Ontario for the final time (yeah!) next week or the week after, so the weather better hold going through New Brunswick and Quebec. Im a little nervous, but we'll make it!

We've done the NB-PQ-ON drive numerous times but never in the winter. Hopefully it will be clear when you come through. :)
