But surprisingly not one of mine! :) Posting for a friend:

Dora is 4 year old, 13.2-3 hand, appy-cross mare who's sound, sane, and trailers anywhere (been ridden off property multiple times). She is broke w/t/c, does small courses, and hacks out in a lead rope and halter. She's friendly and likes children. Asking $1200.

Dora originally came from OLEX but the owner ended up having to find a home for her (I don't know the details) - that's when my friend took her on. Due to a change in the work/time/money situation, my friend is now looking to rehome her but does love this girl and will keep her if an excellent home isn't found. I just thought I'd mention it on here in case anyone knew of someone looking. :) A "friend of a friend", word-of-mouth type home is what she's looking for (which the wonderful folks on here do often :) ) as, although there are no guarantees, she would like to try her best to keep Dora from ending up at OLEX again.

OT Laura.... but I was out at my buddys place, where the folks who adopted Piggy board. We were out playing horsie in the snow. It was great seeing The Pig doing so well and I hopped on her to play a bit when they were done. She is doing really, really well and is maintaining a good weight. :)

Definitely fun to ride as well! Forgot my camera so gosh darn it, will have to go out for another fun day. ;)

That's so wonderful to hear! She really is such a cool girl, she just needed some boundaries! ;) I would love to see some pictures when you get a chance. If her new owners wouldn't mind, I'd love to come see her (and maybe hop on briefly?) at some point. I hate the "rehoming" part of "rescuing and rehoming" but when the updates are always positive, it's so worth it!

I will certainly get pics for you! :) I have a few days off so can probably boot out there and take some.... :P I am sure her owners would love to have you come out if you are in the neighbourhood! The mum is a really nice lady and loves to show Piggy off. lol!! Her husband rode her yesterday too and the guy couldn't ride his way out of a paper bag, but pig was great with him. I confess to being impressed by that! Heehee. I keep asking when they are going to trade her in so I can have her back hahahaha!!!
The rehoming part sucks sometimes, but when they are positive, you are so right... its totally worth it. I have one going out probably this week and he is definitely one I would keep if I was into keeping them all. LOL!!! However... new homes are the whole point of it. heh.

Cheers and Studly says hi to all of you at Milton! LOL!!

Of COURSE you'd come too, Frisco! Rachel too! :)

I can't express how happy I am to hear how well she's doing - I can't wait to see her! Glad you love her as much as we do! :)

Give Studly a pat from everyone at Milton - I hope his recovery is still going well!

lol! Studlys surgery issues are fine... its more the fact he will probably always think he has a set that is his REAL issue. LOL!!!

Hehe - my old man still thinks he has a pair occasionally, aren't boys fun? ;)

Update:
My friend would be willing to drop the price for the right home - she really just wants to find a kid who can give this pony the time and attention she deserves! :)
