Around here (north of Guelph) it's supposed to be around 0 to +2 all weekend....looking forward to getting some barn stuff done that's been piling up.

Kids are looking forward to riding the ponies for the first time in well over a month!!

As long as this does not mean "mud".... and a thaw will allow me to clean out the backyard of the doggie piles...

I have a lesson booked for Thursday should be fun as he has not rally worked in over 2 months. We will be riding outside in my pasture as our outside ring as ice in it. I am thinking of renting an indoor arena once a month just to keep him going tho. I hope this weather sticks around for a while makes riding more fun.

I rode today! :) sort of...I tried to take my "old guy" for a walk down the road...we jig-jogged the whole time...and he tried to buck me off...twice...he's 24... ;) I have to admit, I do like it when he's frisky as I love that he still feels that good but I really just wanted to go for a relaxing hack after work! haha - it did motivate me to ride him more, though!

It was VERY nice to be able to walk the colic at work and still be able to feel my face at the end of it too. :)

Hope everyone had a nice "warm" Saturday!

Even here the weather has been warmer, we had a tiny bit of melting, but not that much. When walking our dogs on the other side of the property its still mostly knee + deep, but now its WET snow so it soaks through much worse, not sure it was an improvement, really ;)

I do wish there would be some sunshine... we've had very very little of that and that's getting OLD!!!

The goats were happy about the warmer weather (its not as nice today as yesterday -4C but with the wind -10C) and were laying outside a bunch yesterday.... weren't even in a hurry to be locked in the shed last night at night feed...unusual! :) Today they are less thrilled with the cold wind ... can't say I blame them!

I suppose this is the January thaw that's supposed to give us hope for spring. Meh, can't say its made me hopeful, just impatient! ;)

We took a drive up to Thornbury yesterday and up there, it was beautiful... blue sky, sunshine, white snow... skiers on the hills...not cold.
By Mount Forest, it was grey and overcast again... at least I did enjoy some sunshine!

Id like some sun to go with this less-cold weather, but Im not complaining too much. This weather is way better than the usual January chill.

Knock on wood, with 20 minutes to go from my 4 days of shifts on this lovely weekend... I HAVEN"T LEFT THE BASE!!

Ok, I did leave to goto the store to buy more food with which to stuff my face... but that doesn't count.
