Did you go? Reply by Freemount FarmJanuary 26, 2010 03:09PM
i went but didnt stay long Reply by NoodleJanuary 26, 2010 04:05PM
I did!
no ponies -not that I need or am looking for a pony. Lots of standardbreds, which I guess is the norm perhaps there needs to be a boycott on supporting the industry until they learn to not treat thier rejects like they are disposable waste.
the lame 3yr old stb made me sad for him. Some nice horses there too though! fat, shiny, well taken care of. Reply by JazzManJanuary 26, 2010 05:12PM
Were there many horses there for the sale? Many go to 'homes', did you notice? Reply by qhcuttingirlJanuary 26, 2010 06:16PM
many QH's ever go through that sale? Reply by Freemount FarmJanuary 26, 2010 06:35PM
did you see the appy that had braids or bands in its mane?
I wanted to bring home the clyde cross pen near the beginning Reply by SavingGraceJanuary 26, 2010 07:51PM
QHcuttinggirl - there were a bunch last week... Reply by NoodleJanuary 26, 2010 08:41PM
I did see the appy, 6yr old mare? nice and round. Who sends a horse like that to the meat auction?
I can't tell between meat buyers and private buyers, so i cant say who went to whom. Reply by SavingGraceJanuary 26, 2010 10:52PM
Meat is sent to "14 lot....whatever"
or "200 ...lot whatever" Those are the two who are usually there. If they have to ask for a number, it is generally a private buyer. Reply by Freemount FarmJanuary 27, 2010 12:56PM
how much did the 2 white ones go for? Reply by NoodleJanuary 27, 2010 01:23PM
they went for $75 and the buyer ( a woman) took them both. Reply by Freemount FarmJanuary 27, 2010 02:16PM
I really liked them..was there any info on them? i left before the horses started so i would bring any home
Too risky to bring home a horse from OLEX while i'm pregnant Reply by SavingGraceJanuary 27, 2010 06:18PM
Smart girl Freemount.
Not to mention you will be SHOCKED at what you THINK you need to spend as opposed to what you WILL spend on a babs lol!!!!!! If I may make a suggestion (totally OT), wait till after you have your showers to buy stuff. The things people buy are UNREAL... Reply by NoodleJanuary 27, 2010 07:15PM
No info, just "a nice pair of colts, sold on the dollar, buyers choice, take one or two"
I wonder if we will see them resurface on kijiji or EMG. Hopefully they were not bought for breeding purposes, cute as they were. Reply by Freemount FarmJanuary 27, 2010 10:32PM
Noodle: I agree too many "mutt" stallions out there they'd be much nicer geldings
SavingGrace: Oh I know I already have a pile of things from family that just happen to pass by the baby section and couldn't help but buy the cute something or other..Hubby is a huge john deere fan you wouldn't believe what you can find in john deere for babies.. I already have John Deere baby work boots, they are the cutest thing Now to convice hubby baby needs a mini, then a pony when its a bit older, then a light horse, then finally a clyde Reply by qhcuttingirlJanuary 27, 2010 11:06PM
